MBA:
A candidate should have a Bachelor’s degree in any discipline or equivalent from a recognised university/institute. Candidates in their final year/awaiting their results can also apply. Candidates who have done their bachelor’s degree after doing their diploma can also apply.
The Entrance Exam for admission in MBA course in colleges of Tamil Nadu is conducted by the Anna University, Chennai. This exam is known as Tamil Nadu Common Entrance Test (TANCET). The Government of Tamil Nadu has authorized Anna University for the exam. The MBA programme is offered at Government & Government Aided Engineering Colleges and Arts & Science Colleges. The candidates can also get admission in self-financing colleges through government quota. Other Universities also offer admission based on the TANCET exam.
Eligibility:
Candidates should have a recognized Bachelor’s degree (in the 10+2+3 pattern) in any discipline, with Mathematics at the class 12 level. Candidates appearing for the final year or final semester exam of the above mentioned qualifying exams can also apply for TANCET. Candidates from other states can also apply for the test, the eligibility being fixed by the admission giving authority.
Entrance Test Fee:
The Entrance Test fee for the exam is Rs.300 (Rs.150 for SC/ST candidates in Tamil Nadu). There is only one application form for all the entrance tests. The Exam Fee has to be submitted, along with the duly filled-in application form, through a Demand Draft, drawn in favour of “The Director, Entrance Examinations, Anna University Chennai”, payable at Chennai.
