MCA Previous Year Question Papers

MCA:

A candidate should have a Bachelor’s degree in any discipline or equivalent from a recognised university/institute. Also a candidate should have had Mathematics/Statistics at +2 level/Diploma or Graduation. Candidates in their final year/awaiting their results can also apply.Candidates who have done their bachelor’s degree after doing their diploma can also apply.

For admissions to MCA courses in Tamil Nadu, the Tamil Nadu Common Entrance Test (TANCET) has to be cleared. This exam is conducted by the Anna University, Chennai. Through this exam, the MCA programme is offered at University Departments of Anna University Chennai, Anna University at Coimbatore, Trichy, and Tirunelveli, and other Universities, which function under the State Act in Tamil Nadu. Also one can seek admission to Government & Government Aided Engineering Colleges and to self financing institutes under government quota.

The exam is of two hours duration. It is an objective exam with negative markings.

Entrance Test Fee:

There is only one application form for all the Entrance Tests. Candidates are required to pay an examination fee of Rs.300 through a demand draft (Rs.150 for SC/ST candidates), drawn in favor of “The Director, Entrance Examinations, Anna University, Chennai”.

Eligibility:

The candidates applying for the MCA programme should have a recognized Bachelor’s degree of three years duration in any field with Mathematics at the +2 level or they should have a recognized Bachelor’s degree with Mathematics/Statistics as one of the subjects.

Candidates who are in the final year or the final semester of the above mentioned degree courses can also apply for TANCET.
